Did you know that this month, it will be the 20th anniversary of Shakespears Sister’s mega smash single, ‘Stay’.  The track first landed on the UK charts on the 25 January 1992 at #27. It quickly climbed to the number 1 spot where it remained for 8 weeks, and then stayed in the top 10 for a further 2 weeks.  Stay spent a total of 21 weeks in the UK charts back in 1992, and it’s beauty was

realised again in 2010, when it peaked at #12 after Cher Lloyd performed the track on ITV’s, The X Factor.

Siobhan and Marcella became the biggest duo all time with ‘Stay’, earning them the still undefeated title of longest stint at number one by an all female act, even Madonna can’t take claim to that one!
